Introduction

Information Systems Institute (ISI) was established as a self employment inititative in realising the need for Information Systems training skills shortage nationally and locally in the Eastern Cape Province. The company is registered as a close corporation under the name WJ Swartz Computer Services, registration number CK1998/064092/23.

Vision

Well established fully functional multi-purpose community Information Systems and Computer technology micro centres across the Eastern Cape Province.

Mission

Establish micro centres across the Eastern Cape in rural and peri-urban areas primarily. These centres must be one-stop learning, training, support and information service providers in the information systems and computer technology field.

Strategic Objectives

Give easy access to training in the information systems market (prerequisite read and write English). Offer a product and service that is better in quality and undercut the cost offering in the market. Render a consultancy service on information systems and computer technology in relation to adult education learning centres, community learning centres, private sector and public sector. Train and consolidate a pool of trainers to setup a network of micro centres. Network and establish strategic partnerships with educational and developmental agencies (CBOs, NGOs and NPOs).
